Richardson & Richardson, LLC, was formed in July 2013. After working separately, husband and wife Coulter K. Richardson and Katherine Freland Richardson quickly realized that their respective strengths and experiences made them a formidable team, able to address the needs of a broad range of clients and represent them with a blend of zeal and sensitivity.
Coulter K. Richardson, Esq.
Coulter Richardson grew up in New York City. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1992 and his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1999. He has been in general practice since 2000 in both New York and New Jersey, representing clients in a range of matters. He has represented individuals, corporations, estates and labor union in matters from real estate closings to municipal court cases to complex contract drafting and negotiations to complex litigation.
In addition to Coulter’s many years of experience in the law, he also brings dedication and discipline born of his years as a professional athlete, having led the Stanford University Cycling Team to three top-10 finished in the U.S. Collegiate Cycling Championships. In addition, he was individually ranked in the top 100 cyclist in the U.S. for the year of 1989-1992.
Katherine F. Richardson, Esq.
Katherine Richardson received her undergraduate degree from Barnard College at Columbia University in 1992. She received an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California in 1997, and, after working for nearly a decade in corporate American, returned to get her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law – Newark in 2010. She went on to intern for the Honorable Miguel de la Carrera, served as interim Law Clerk to the Honorable Ronny Jo Siegal, and served as Law Clerk for the Honorable John E. Selser, III, in the Family Part, Passaic County Superior Court. Following her clerkship, Katherine exclusively practiced Family Law in northern New Jersey for nearly two years, prior to forming Richardson & Richardson, LLC. Katherine focuses on family Law, including, but not limited to marital dissolution, non-dissolution matters, child custody, child support and pre- and post-judgement matters.
Katherine is also a New York City native and she now calls Monmouth County of New Jersey her home.
